Dr. Tyler is a residency trained optometrist. Dr. Tyler completed a Hospital Based Optometry Residency at the Lexington VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. In his Hospital Based Residency Dr. Tyler treated over 500 cases of glaucoma. Dr. Tyler has the dubious honor of being intern trained at one of the most prestigious eye hospitals in the world, the University Of Miami School Of Medicine's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He also has extensive experience in Lasik evaluations and examinations from working within a Lasik surgery center at which he co-managed over 20,000 cases of Lasik. Dr. Tyler has sub-specialty clinics in glaucoma and dry eye management. He offers the latest in dry eye therapy including Restasis, Collagen and Silicone Punctal Plug Occlusion.

Graf Optical's comprehensive eye surgeon is Dr. Omar Awad. Dr. Awad performs common medical eye surgeries for Graf Optical patients such as cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and corneal transplantation and glaucoma filtering surgeries.
Dr. Awad is a board-certified fellowship-trained eye surgeon specializing in Lasik and refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and corneal transplantation. He has been performing corneal refractive surgery since 1998, and has performed over 6,000 procedures including LASIK, PRK, PTK, and cataract surgery, as well as other vision correcting procedures. Just as important as the extensive training and experience in refractive surgery, Dr. Awad believes in meticulous attention to detail in each individual's care. Dr. Awad is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and he is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Awad is a Twin Cities native, and he received his bachelor's degree at Carleton College. He earned a medical doctorate at the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute. Dr. Awad received additional subspecialty fellowships in Cornea and External Disease, Cataract Surgery, and Refractive Surgery at the Wilmer eye Institute at The John Hopkins Hospital, the nation's top-ranked eye center. He is one of only a handful of area LASIK surgeons who are fellowship -trained in refractive surgery.
